36 Migrants Arrive Outside Vice President Kamala Harris’ Residence, Buses Continue to Flow in New York

A bus carrying 36 migrants arrived in Washington, DC, Thursday morning outside the home of Vice President Kamala Harris.

In addition, three other buses dropped off migrants at the Port Authority Transit Center in New York.

Harris’ residence at the Naval Observatory in Washington, D.C., has become a recurring destination for migrants transported out of border states to sanctuary cities.

Governors and mayors of border states transported thousands of migrants to New York City, Washington DC, and Chicago since the spring.

Buses have displaced part of the raging crisis border states to northern locations, with New York City declaring a state of emergency over the influx of migrants that Mayor Eric Adams says will cost the city $1 billion this fiscal year.

New York City has responded to the crisis in part by stopping buses carrying migrants and attempting to have them removed from the road by search for offenses such as low tire treads, fluid levels and improper wiper placement.
