“Fox News Primetime” host Pete Hegseth said the mainstream media were the real “useful idiots” after retracting their “fake news bombshell, saying the FBI warned Giuliani he was a pawn Russian”.
PETE HEGSETH: There is a term for the type of person that criminals use … to do their dirty work. “the useful idiot.” To be considered a useful idiot, you must be easily persuaded. You can’t ask a lot of questions … And you have to do whatever a stranger tells you to do, no questions asked.
Russians love useful idiots – the phrase has been attributed to Lenin – stupid people, who make great tools to carry out a sinister plot.
For years – our media were convinced that Rudy Giuliani was a useful idiot – to Vladimir Putin
But over the weekend we learned who the real idiots are, and it shouldn’t come as a surprise, they are members of the so-called mainstream press. Specifically, reporters like Maggie Habermann of the New York Times and Ellen Nakashima of the Washington Post. You can recognize these names. They have been âinvestigatingâ President Trump‘s âRussian tiesâ for years.
But over the weekend, they suffered a setback and were forced to remove their latest fake news bombshell, claiming the FBI had warned Giuliani he was a Russian pawn. Anyway, no one serious believed this story. He had all the hallmarks of a false deep state, citing “people familiar with the matter”, “current and former US officials”, or one of our favorites … “an American official”.
I can’t think of anything less specific! Of course, a good journalist protects his sources, but he also checks their facts. Obviously that did not happen in this case – as in many others. And when that bomb fell on their knees, they bought it hook and sinker line. They didn’t ask any questions, and they spread the misinformation that was provided to them … to millions of people around the world. As expected.
Because for the Deep State – these so called “journalists” – are the most useful idiots of all.
