Is Last Week Tonight with John Oliver new tonight, August 28th?
Joe Biden made a surprise appearance in Jay Leno’s Garage this week. The former Tonight Show host has been a close friend of the president for some time, even backing the Democrat in the 2020 presidential race.
Biden told reporters after taping that the two drove his old Corvette in a “fun” segment.
“We talked about how electric cars are going to change the nature of our environment in the United States,” he revealed.
In 2020, Leno told The Hill that he fully supported Biden in the 2020 presidential election, calling the president “a decent man.”
“People like Joe because he has a good character.”
Leno and Biden also took a ride in a Ford F-150 Lightning, a popular electric model for the automaker.
This isn’t the first time Biden has appeared on Leno’s hit CNBC show. In 2016, the president appeared in a viral segment where he did a burnout in a ’67 Corvette Stingray.
It’s no surprise that Biden made a point of showcasing the future of electric cars during his recent appearance on CNBC. In June, the White House revealed that the administration plans to “build the first-ever national network of 500,000 electric vehicle chargers,” according to a released fact sheet.
Ask Jay Leno to come back to the Tonight Show
Jay Leno’s episode with Biden comes after calls for the former Tonight Show host to return late at night.
Many have taken to social media, hoping to see Leno replace Fallon after NBC may be considering a major reshuffle in the timeslot.
We can expect President Joe Biden’s appearance on Jay Leno’s Garage to air this Wednesday on CNBC. It won’t be one to miss.
