Kamala Harris Focuses More on Small Business

Vice President Harris has increasingly focused on policies supporting small business and entrepreneurship, engaging CEOs of banks, working with Secretary of the Treasury Yellen to raise capital for owners of underserved small businesses, officials tell me.

Driving the news: Harris traveled across the country meeting with small businesses to highlight the benefits of the US bailout, which allocated $ 60 billion to small businesses.

In one trial in Forbes’ 50 Over 50“question, today Harris (56) writes:

The pandemic has exposed the flaws and cracks in our economy. … Today our nation must rethink our economy so that every American entrepreneur can start and grow a business. It is in this reinvention that we will remain competitive – and emerge stronger from this pandemic. “

What we are looking at: Harris will be on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” Tuesday for an interview with Mika Brzezinski. Harris shares this advice for the women she mentors:

  • “I eat ‘no’ for breakfast. So I’ve been told, many times in my career, things like, ‘you’re too young, it’s not your turn, they’re not ready for you, nobody like you has done before ” – I’ve heard all of these things a lot during my career, but I haven’t listened. ” Watch a preview.
