North Carolina Republicans hide their extreme abortion records

After the Supreme Court overturned Roe vs. Wade, Republicans in North Carolina are racing to hide their unpopular and extremist positions on abortion. Several GOP congressional candidates in North Carolina, including NC-06 candidate Chris Castelli and NC-13 candidate Bo Hines, have even gone so far as to remove anti-abortion views from their campaign websites.

CBS17: GOP candidates change their messages on abortion

  • Being pro-life has always been a safe platform for Republicans because there was little chance that restrictive new laws could be enacted. But that has now changed. Democrats are gaining ground in the polls, winning special elections, and Kansas voters have overwhelmingly said no to new abortion laws.
