New Delhi: Russia on Saturday released a list of 963 prominent Americans barring US President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris from entering the country.
The move is seen as retaliation for similar action taken by Washington after Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a special operation in Ukraine.
Other Americans on the list include Secretary of State Antony Blinken and CIA chief William Burns, Facebook boss Mark Zuckerberg and Hollywood actor Morgan Freeman.

The list was published on the website of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

In response, Canada imposed new sanctions on Russia on 14 people and banned exports and imports of luxury goods to and from Moscow.

These new measures impose restrictions on 14 people, including Russian oligarchs, their family members and those close to the Putin regime.

These people directly enabled Vladimir Putin’s senseless war in Ukraine and bear responsibility for the pain and suffering of the Ukrainian people, the Canadian government has said.
