It’s hard not to laugh at the Democratic fugitives from Texas, now that five of them have been stricken with COVID. Of course, the right thing to do is to wish them good health. But they should never lecture anyone about masks after posting selfies – from their private chartered jet, no less – in which neither of them wore masks. Don’t the CDC guidelines say you must wear masks on planes? Not for Democratic lawmakers. It is still a rule for them and a different rule for the peasants.
The stunt was self-mortifying for Democrats, who berated and scolded us like neurotics during an entire pandemic while privately doing whatever they wanted.
Then there’s Vice President Kamala Harris, who hailed Texans as if they were heroes instead of ridiculous runaways likely to be arrested when they returned home. Yes, she met them in person on Tuesday, in a cramped, windowless room in Washington, with no mask in sight, sneering at how “brave” they were to evade their legislative obligations (pictured below).
But we’re supposed to believe that when they started to test positive four days later, it wasn’t a problem for the veep. No COVID test, no quarantine and his visit to Walter Reed on Sunday was a coincidence.
Oh, imagine the uproar if it was Mike Pence and a bunch of Republicans. But if the media isn’t calling them out, have the Democrats done something wrong? This is the whole basis of our political reality today. Fanatical hyperbole at the most minor transgression of establishment norms by the right and hypocritical embrace of the left’s most blatant behavior.
As if that weren’t enough, the Biden administration now wants to codify this state of affairs and make it permanent.
Under the guise of protecting public health, the administration made a frightening leap into fascism last week. And that’s not hyperbole, as the president would say.
They explicitly aligned the government’s goals with Big Tech censorship. If this is something the Democratic Party does not want to say, it must be banned. This is dangerous “disinformation”, as defined by the government. And he can’t just be banned from a social media platform. Big tech must work together to crush the disinformation superbroadcasters of all platforms. For our good.
That’s what White House press secretary Jen Psaki told us.
It’s not just the dirty dozen demons of disinformation cited by Psaki as deserving of deformity and eternal damnation. Or President Biden’s untimely explosion about Facebook “killing people”.
The president needs scapegoats to blame for failing his target date of July 4 for 70% of the population to be vaccinated. What didn’t go well? Republicans, of course.
When the president said that Facebook “kills people,” he wasn’t really talking about Facebook, which was a friend of his campaign.
He was talking about conservative content on Facebook that contradicts the government’s rhetoric. It’s really Fox News that he hates and his 2 million Trump-loving viewers, the goddamn people who didn’t vote for him and don’t buy his fake unit, like in, “Shut up and do what ‘we tell you. “
So he calls them killers in the hope of losing their media allies. It’s not really Dr. Mercola he wants to float in the Yangtze. It’s Tucker Carlson.
After convincing you that only his government can protect you from the virus, Biden must now eliminate any information to the contrary – or PEOPLE will die!
As New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern told his people last week after being warmly congratulated by Biden, the government “will continue to be your only source of truth. Unless you hear it from us, it’s not the truth.
It’s not censorship, it’s protecting you from misinformation.
Likewise, it’s for our own good that tech companies hand over every bit of digital information they hold about any customer to law enforcement.
The media are not complaining about this Orwellian overshoot because it is being used against people they hate. What if the FBI had obtained a search warrant to search Rudy Giuliani’s cloud for a year without his knowledge. He deserved it.
As for the MAGA baby boomers gathered during the Capitol Riot, no punishment is harsh enough. Six months in solitary confinement in a DC jail, drinking water so dirty it has to be filtered through a sock, no problem. The president protects the nation from civil war!
So it’s not much of a surprise to learn that Big Tech is working as a branch of state surveillance. The FBI is pulverizing so many search warrants that Apple, Facebook and Google now have official law enforcement agencies dedicated to this growing industry.
Apple calls it a “privacy and law enforcement compliance department,” with compliance being the key word and privacy non-existent.
Documents obtained through discovery of a lawyer for some of the January Sixers show the extent of the intrusion. A warrant requires Facebook to deliver “the content of all available messages … attachments, draft messages, messages, chats, video call history,” friend “requests, chats, recordings , images… IP addresses… subscriber records and connection history… full name, physical address, phone numbers, date of birth, security questions and passwords ”etc.
It is not metadata. This is big data, and all stolen without your knowledge, as the courts are gagging tech companies for not disclosing the existence of warrants.
There is no clearer evidence that technology monopolies are trampling on our constitutional rights in the name of a government that is prohibited from doing so.
This is the basis of Donald Trump’s lawsuit against Facebook, Twitter and Google for censoring him. Their collusion with the government means that they should no longer be treated as private companies but as state actors bound by the First Amendment.
The Biden administration presented Trump with a gift. Another self-cleaning for Democrats.
Talk about a mad ship (dangerous).
