Vice President Harris sells condo in DC for $ 1.9m

The Westlight complex unit in the West End sold for just under demand, months after listing

Vice President Kamala Harris sold it Washington DC, condominium for a little less than the asking price. But it took a minute.

Harris sold his two-bedroom unit at developer Eastbanc’s Westlight complex in the West End for $ 1.85 million, just below April’s $ 2 million list, according to the Wall Street Journal.

She paid $ 1.78 million for the property in 2017 – the same year she was sworn in as U.S. Senator from California. The condo totals approximately 1,700 square feet and has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The Westlight complex has a private club, gym, and rooftop lounge with a 25-foot heated pool.

The West End is home to some of the Capitol’s most expensive condominiums, as well as luxury hotels. The Westlight complex itself is within walking distance of Georgetown and the US State Department building.

Harris register property Around the same time, she and her husband, the second gentleman Doug Emhoff, were moving into Blair House. The 70,000 square foot home across from the White House is also known as the President’s Guest House. The couple lived there until renovations to the Vice President’s residence, Number One Observatory Circle, were completed.

Harris also listed a condo in San Francisco after it opened. She sold the property for $ 860,000, almost double what she paid in 2004. She and her husband still own a property in The Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles.
